First United Methodist Church
- The church is located two blocks from the campus of the
University of Georgia in the heart of downtown Athens. Established
in 1825, First United Methodist has a rich heritage of ministry
in this community. It is their hope that everyone will discover
sources of hope and help for their own growth as a disciple
of Jesus Christ. They believe that, regardless of your age
or stage of life, there is a place for everyone at Athens

Christian Faculty Forum
- Their abiding purpose as Christian faculty and graduate
students is to bear witness to Jesus Christ, the highest
truth to which human beings are called. In pursuit of this
calling they gather together in prayer, discussion and fellowship,
that they might instruct and encourage one another in this
faith, better serve the university community by integrating
our faith into our professional lives, and inquire more
deeply into the things of God.
